Conference Overview

The International JSXGraph Conference brings together developers, educators, researchers, instructional designers, and practitioners interested in math visualization, interactive digital learning, and e-assessment.

Over the past years, JSXGraph has become a widely used open-source technology for creating interactive mathematical and scientific content on the web. Its support for dynamic geometry, function plotting, data visualization, and interactive 2D and 3D graphics has made it a valuable component of modern digital learning environments.

A particular strength of JSXGraph lies in the field of e-assessment. By allowing learners to create, manipulate, and submit graphical objects directly within assessment tasks, JSXGraph enables innovative forms of evaluation that go far beyond traditional multiple-choice or text-based questions. Students can interact with mathematical objects, construct geometric figures, explore functions, and communicate their understanding through visual representations.

In combination with assessment systems such as STACK , JSXGraph has become a key technology for creating sophisticated assessment tasks featuring visual input, interactive constructions, automatic evaluation, and meaningful feedback.

The conference provides a forum for sharing experiences, presenting innovative projects, discussing pedagogical approaches, and exploring the latest developments in the JSXGraph ecosystem. Whether you are a long-time user, a developer, or just beginning to explore the possibilities of interactive mathematics education, you are warmly invited to join the international JSXGraph community.

Call for Contributions

We welcome presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and experience reports from all members of the JSXGraph community.

Possible contributions include:

  • Reports on concepts, projects, and practical experiences
  • Presentations of applications and best practices
  • Demonstrations of plug-ins, tools, and extensions
  • Discussions of pedagogical approaches involving JSXGraph
  • Research results related to digital learning, e-assessment, and interactive visualization
  • Experiences with JSXGraph in Moodle, ILIAS, STACK, and other educational platforms
  • Innovative approaches to visual input and automated assessment

We encourage early submission to facilitate scheduling and programme planning.

Publications

The conference aims not only to foster discussion and collaboration but also to document and disseminate the work of the JSXGraph community.

Abstracts of all accepted contributions will be published in the CMLDT Publications series . In addition, authors are invited to submit extended papers based on their presentations. These contributions may also be published in the CMLDT Publications series, providing an opportunity to present projects, research findings, software developments, and educational innovations in greater detail.

The publication series offers a platform for sharing both academic and practice-oriented contributions with the broader community.

Further information about publication guidelines and submission procedures will be announced in due course.

Conference Schedule

The conference will be held online. Sessions are organized in compact blocks to accommodate speakers and participants from different time zones while providing ample opportunities for discussion and interaction.

The format encourages exchange between developers, educators, researchers, and users, creating a collaborative environment for exploring new ideas and future developments in interactive digital learning and assessment.
