Math4U meets JSXGraph
Petr Beremlijski and Pedro A. García-Sánchez
Department of Applied Mathematics, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava, Czechia, and
Departamento de Álgebra, Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de Granada, 18071 Granada, España
petr.beremlijski@vsb.cz , pedro@ugr.es Keywords: Digital exercises, digital assessment, mathematics, STACK
Abstract Math4U portal helps teachers is a KA2 Cooperation Partnership supported by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program, and aims to develop the math4u.vsb.cz portal further, in particular, by expanding the TrainingGames4U, AppliedMath4U, and Math4Teacher applications.

Mathematical Playgrounds for Guided Discovery: From Experimentation to Formalisation with JSXGraph
Dr. Kinga Sipos
Mathematical Institute, University of Bern, Sidlerstrasse 5, 3012 Bern, Switzerland
kinga.sipos@unibe.ch Keywords: JSXGraph, guided discovery, mathematical experimentation, interactive visualization, mathematical intuition, multiple representations, introductory mathematics, economics education.
Abstract How can interactive visualisations be used not merely to illustrate mathematical concepts, but to introduce them through exploration and experimentation? This contribution presents a collection of JSXGraph applets developed for an introductory university mathematics course for economics and social science students.

New 3D features and more
Alfred Wassermann
Center for Mobile Learning with Digital Technology, University of Bayreuth, Germany
alfred.wassermann@uni-bayreuth.de Abstract This short workshop covers the new JSXGraph features released since October 2025, with a particular focus on progress in 3D. We will also explore how to create JSXGraph extensions.

sketchCurve
Alfred Wassermann
Center for Mobile Learning with Digital Technology, University of Bayreuth, Germany
alfred.wassermann@uni-bayreuth.de Abstract JSXGraph v1.13.0 adds support for sketching curves in constructions. This session covers the basics and shows early use cases.

Visualising derivatives of functions
Andreas Maurischat
RWTH Aachen University, Germany
maurischat@combi.rwth-aachen.de Abstract In this talk, we present a sample piece of visualising the derivative function of real functions using JSXGraph. With this graphics the students can explore how the derivative of a given function looks like, e.g., that the derivative of the sine function is the cosine function.
We lay a special focus on the features within this graphics, and explain how they are realized in JSXGraph, so that the audience can use these features also in their own visualisations.

When dragging is not enough: a JSXGraph extension with attached inputs
Johannes Knaut, Bernhard Gailer
OTH Amberg-Weiden, Germany
j.knaut@oth-aw.de , b.gailer@oth-aw.de Keywords: Interaction Design, Instrumental Interaction, Multiple Representations, Phasors, Complex Numbers, JSXGraph Extensions, STACK
Abstract Background The OTH Amberg-Weiden operates a service centre developing digital tasks for Moodle courses, many of them built with STACK and using JSXGraph wherever a task requires graphical interactions.
One recurring case comes from electrical engineering, where alternating voltages and currents are described by phasors. A phasor is an arrow in the complex plane: its length gives the amplitude of the signal, its angle the phase.
